NewEdge Wealth, a $16.5 billion registered investment advisor owned by NewEdge Capital Group, added two breakaways from the wirehouses on Friday, including a South Florida-based team from Merrill Lynch and a Pennsylvania team from Morgan Stanley.

Joshua W. Cummins, a private wealth advisor who managed $1.1 billion in client assets, joined UBS in Westlake, California, according to an announcement. He reports to UBS’s Los Angeles private wealth market led by Lauren Gorsche and branch manager Kate Daniels, according to the announcement.

The larger of the moves is the father-son team of Gary W. Owens and Travis L. Owens, who moved to UBS in Dallas. They had managed $540 million in client assets and generated around $2.7 million in revenue, according to a source familiar with their practice.

In the larger of the moves, a duo managing $1.2 billion in assets joined Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. in Des Moines, Iowa, according to a spokesperson for the firm. The group, which moved on Tuesday, includes Merrill lifers Grant Clark and Mark Malone as well as client associates Sara O’Brien and Lyndsi Truka.
