Josef Najar, who heads the 15-person Carrier Group, is expected to officially join Rockefeller after a garden leave, according to his lawyer, Jonathan S. Sack of Sack & Sack in New York. Najar’s team manages $3.6 billion in assets, according to Barron’s, which ranked the group 119 on its list of the top 250 private wealth teams this year.

The seven-person team, which is led by Jason L. Walker, Vladimir A. Nikitenko, H. Scott Braswell, Rosty N. Tkachenko and John C. Hydrick, calls their group Wealthstead Financial Advisors. The group includes support staffers Shantol Rose and Patti Schwefler, according to the team’s website.

The larger of the moves is the father-son team of Gary W. Owens and Travis L. Owens, who moved to UBS in Dallas. They had managed $540 million in client assets and generated around $2.7 million in revenue, according to a source familiar with their practice.

Merrill Loses $1.2-Billion Team to Stifel in IA, $705-Mln Group to LPL in OK – AdvisorHub

In the larger of the moves, a duo managing $1.2 billion in assets joined Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. in  Des Moines, Iowa, according to a spokesperson for the firm. The group, which moved on Tuesday, includes Merrill lifers Grant Clark and Mark Malone as well as client associates Sara O’Brien and Lyndsi Truka.
