Raymond James hired four advisors who managed nearly $400 million in combined client assets, the firm said.The new hires, who left Wells Fargo and Davenport & Company, joined Raymond James in two offices in Raleigh and Smithfield, N.C.The advisors had over $2 million in annual fees and commissions, according to Raymond James.

Under the new rule, firms onboarding clients of a recently recruited advisor must disclose to investors whether the recruitment bonus or other compensation received by the advisor creates a conflict of interest. Further, the information must also outline any costs associated with transferring client accounts to the new firm and the potential differences in products and services offered at the new b/d.

Advisor Ed Lancaster and his sons, Mike and Dave, joined Raymond James in Cypress, Texas, a suburb of Houston.The team managed more than $160 million in client assets, according to Raymond James.

Three other recruits went over to the independent side at Ameriprise. Former Raymond James advisor Scott Husnick of Amery, Wis., oversaw $143 million in client assets prior to making the move, according to Ameriprise’s spokesman. Buzz Minton, formerly with LPL and based in Altoona, also in Wisconsin, had $72 million, the spokesman said.

Peter Loncar and Brent Stein had $2 million in annual revenue before leaving the wirehouse, according to Raymond James. Both, operating as Rivertowne Advisors, are based in Beaver, Pa., just northwest of Pittsburgh. Their practice will focus on retirement planning, both for individual clients and for businesses.

Advisors Chris Mahoney, his brother Kevin Mahoney, Mark C. Marotta, Kristen Koluch, and Phil Murphy joined the firm in West Nyack, N.Y., about  40 miles from Manhattan.The team, which is led by Mahoney, generated $7.7 million in annual production, according to Raymond James.

Voya Financial Advisors has recruited a $500 million-plus advisor group from Investor’s Capital Corporation.An initial group of 17 advisors with $415 million in assets under management moved to Voya on November 2nd with a second wave from various broker-dealers following in the first quarter of next year. This group brings gross dealer concessions totaling $4 million to Voya Financial Advisors.

Advisors Tammy Sweet Halprin and Scott Finkler now operate as the Halprin Finkler Investment Group of Raymond James in Destin, Fla., the firm says. The duo had $2 million in annual production at the time of their departure from Wells Fargo, according to Raymond James.
